Refunds on airline tickets are governed by the fare rules of the airline that issued your ticket and by applicable law. Airfinns processes refunds on your behalf but does not set airline refund rules.
When you are entitled to a refund
- Airline cancellation or significant change. If the airline cancels your flight or makes a significant change — such as a departure or arrival shift of more than 3 hours domestically or 6 hours internationally, a change of airport, or added connections — and you do not accept the alternative offered, you are entitled to a refund of the unused portion, including taxes and the Airfinns booking fee for the affected travel, to the original form of payment.
- Refundable fares. Tickets purchased on a refundable fare may be refunded according to that fare's rules.
- Void window. Tickets cancelled within the airline's void window (shown on your confirmation) are refunded in full, including our service fee.
Non-refundable fares
Most lower-priced fares are non-refundable. If you cancel voluntarily, the airline may provide a credit for future travel, less any airline penalty. Some government taxes on unused non-refundable tickets may be refundable; ask us to check.
How to request a refund
Call +1 (888) 307-6252 or email support@airfinns.com with your Airfinns reference and the names of the travellers. We confirm eligibility and the amount before submitting the refund to the airline.
Timelines
Once a refund is approved by the airline, credit card refunds are typically processed within 7 business days, and other forms of payment within 20 calendar days, after which your bank may take additional time to post the credit. We will keep you updated by email.
Airfinns fees on refunds
A refund processing fee of $50–$250 per traveller applies to voluntary refunds outside the void window. No Airfinns fee applies to refunds caused by airline cancellations or significant changes.
